LCR Unveils 2011 MotoGP Livery

LCR Honda has finally unveiled its bike and livery for the 2011 season of the MotoGP championship, two weeks before the season opening Qatar GP. The event took place near the Venice Casino in the famous Italian city and was attended (obviously) by the new member of the team, Toni Elias.

In fact this is the only major novelty presented by LCR Honda MotoGP Team for the upcoming season, as the new livery adopts the same Playboy type of scheme as before. Elias, who left the world of the MotoGP at the end of 2009 to switch to the inaugural Moto2 championship (which he won), will replace Randy de Puniet for the team's single-bike effort this campaign.

I flew here from Barcelona with my mum and my dad and we were all surprised because the party was unique!” said the Spanish rider. “Venice is a wonderful city and the event was incredible. I could feel the affection of the Team guests and I was very happy because I met them for the first time.”

I must thank Lucio and the team staff for their efforts because this party was a real success. On the stage I joked with Lucio about our past challenges when he was a 125cc rider and now he is my Boss!

We are leaving for Qatar in a couple of days and I hope to return all this trust to Lucio, his Team and all the fans. It won't be easy but I am very stubborn (Lucio knows my temper!) and the premier class already gave me several successes that's why I am very confident.”

LCR Honda will not head to the last test of the off-season, scheduled to take place in Losail this weekend, before the official start of the 2011 campaign a weekend later.
