They say that open-face helmets are not providing the rider with enough protection in case of an impact, and this is true, because of the very construction of such lids. However, some open-face helmets stand from the crowd, and the recently-announced Joe Rocket Carbon Pro is the perfect example.
The first thing about this helmet is of course, its high-tech carbon fiber shell made in a layered 4x4 weave pattern, ensuring exceptional resilience and energy dissipation in case of an impact, backed by a dual-density EPS shock-absorbing liner.

The interior is sculpted carefully for an optimal fit, and lined with proprietary Qwickdry fully removable and washable pads. Ventilation is ensured by 4 vents: 2 front adjustable intakes and two rear extractors.

Joe Rocket claims the visor is superior to other similar items and blocks out 95% of the UV radiation. A molded gasket trims the bottom edge of the shell for reduced turbulence and a pleasant feel against the neck.

Meeting or exceeding the DOT and SNELL standards, the Joe Rocket Carbon Pro comes in sizes XS through XXL for prices ranging between $299.99 and $304.99 (€231-235).
