A team of researchers at the Knowledge Enterprise Development department of Arizona State University is working on a project that strives to enhance the ability of soldiers. Started as a student project, the team is creating a wearable jetpack that enhances speed and agility and their goal is for people to run a mile in four minutes.
You better come home Speedy Gonzales, away from tannery row... Our article had to start like this and there is nothing you can do about it. Now, imagine you could actually be like the famous cartoon character and would be able to run faster than normal people do and you wouldn’t even need to take any drugs while you’re at it.

Working with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and a faculty mentor, Jason Kerestes is the mastermind behind the 4MM (4 Minute Mile). According to ASU, he built a prototype of the jetpack and is now testing and refining his design to be as effective as possible.

As part of an ASU program called iProjects, which brings students and industry together to find innovative solutions to real-world problems, the Jetpack mind one day help saving lives. Even though this device will not make you Usain Bolt, widely regarded as the fastest person ever, but it would still be pretty cool to have.
