Jeep Special Order Programme Introduced in the UK

Jeep’s UK customers receive special attention from the company, as off-road enthusiasts will be able to configure their own Wrangler using the newly-introduced Special Order Programme, aimed at offering a high level of customization.

The two-door Wrangler and the four-door Wrangler Unlimited are featured in the program. The two cars come with an extended range of color, trim and powertrain combinations. Jeep also offers a wide variety of serious off road optional equipment, such as a special axle ratio, destined for rock crawling, an electronic front sway bar disconnect and an electronic locking rear axle.

The entry level version of the Jeep Wrangler on the British marker is the two-door one that starts from 19,650 pounds. The current Wrangler engine line-up includes a petrol unit and a diesel one.

The diesel is a 2.8 liter 4 cylinder unit that develops 177 HP at 3,800 rpm and 410 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. It uses common-rail diesel injection, emits 263 grams of CO2 for every driven kilometer and returns a fuel consumption figure of 28.5 UK mpg (combined cycle). This engine allows the Wrangler to cover the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 10.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 100 mph.

The petrol uses a V6 configuration and has a displacement of 3.8 liters. The engine delivers 198 HP at 5,000 rpm and 315 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It emits 275 grams of CO2 per kilometer and has a fuel consumption of 23.7 UK mpg (combined cycle). The petrol version of the Wrangler needs 11.2 seconds to reach 100 km/h from a standing start and has a top speed of 174 km/h.
