The Japanese are known to do things a little different than the rest of the world. Over there, there are so many car sub-cultures, it’s hard to keep track of them all. However, everyone heard about kei cars.
Those are the little cars that are so popular in the Asian country these days. Kei cars are known for their compact size and the ridiculous amount of tuning that goes into making them, one that would put to shame even the most outspoken German tuner out there.

Once the BMW i3 reached Japanese shores, we knew that it had to be modified in one way or another by some company. We weren’t wrong and today we’re showing you exact what happened to one such electric vehicle from Bavaria.

The car was almost completely transformed

Even though BMW created the i3 for clean city cruising and to be a mega city-car, the simple presence of the blue and white roundel badge on the bonnet sends people into an imagination frenzy.

Sure, the i3 is quick and agile around town but the kit this one received is borderline outrageous. As you can see, the whole face of the car changed, the front bumper now looking like the grimace the Predator used to have when taking its mask off in the famous Schwarzenegger movies.

Furthermore, what’s with those extra air intakes up front? After all, there’s no internal combustion engine under the bonnet but just some storage space for your charger cable and some other stuff. Even if you get an ICE for this car, it will be positioned in the boot, nowhere close to them anyway.

The BMW EVO i3 also has flared fenders, a new rear diffuser and new wheels on the sides, featuring the same i Blue shade the car uses on the faux kidney grilles up front and around the badges.

No details about mass production haven’t been released just yet but we’re expecting more info in the following months. Stay tuned!
