Jaguar XKR-S Video Released

Every time we cover an auto show, the experience turns into a training camp for our brains, with the left hemisphere shouting at our photographers to move on to the next car once the job is done and the right one being amazed at the beauty/complexity of different four-wheeled creatures. This year’s Geneva event was no exception to this and there is one battle that we particularly remember. This took place at the Jaguar booth. Yes, you guessed it, the fight is linked to the Jaguar XKR-S.

The Brit creation, which manages to be both the Beauty and the Beast screwed our efficiency target up. Actually it felt more like a nail rather than a screw. Yes, from the moment we saw it and read the specifications live, we were nailed to the floor.

We wanted to share the feelings and emotions with you and we hope that by posting the vehicle’s gallery we did. Now we’re back to generate some more of that - we are offering you a video that shows the vehicle being put through its paces.

The footage doesn’t show extreme maneuvers that we consider as being mandatory for a presentation that promotes such a vehicle, but it still manages to give you a hot 1 minute and 49 seconds.

Before we end the story, we’ll remind you that the big, “smurf blue”-finished cat is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 unit that has been whipped to deliver 550 hp. The unit pushes the machine past the 62 mph mark in 4.4 seconds and offers it a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).
