We just told you all about the brand new Jaguar F-Pace SUV and yet, we still have to talk a little more about it as the Brits have just broken a world record. In their attempt to gain as much attention as possible, they actually performed the largest ever ‘loop-the-loop’, at 19.08 meters in height.
Of course, reading through their press release, you’d think that the world stopped for a minute and their brand new SUV did something that no other car could ever even fathom to dare attempt, let alone do the same deed. And yet, the figures behind this crazy stunt are pretty impressive nonetheless.

The car and the driver suffered forces up to 6.5 G during this whole ordeal and the man behind the wheel, British stunt driver, Terry Grant, had to undertake some special training in order to deal with it. In case, you didn’t know, experiencing 6.5 Gs translates into your body feeling 6.5 times heavier. Those are some nasty forces at play!

With this occasion, Jaguar also revealed the fact that it plans to build 2,000 unique ‘First Edition’ models that will be truly rare sightings on the planet’s streets.

This initial batch of SUVs will be fitted with the 380 HP 3-liter supercharged V6 petrol mill and its 3-liter V6 diesel brother that’s good for 300 HP. Customers will get to pick from only four paint colors: Rhodium Silver, Ultimate Black, Caesium Blue and Halcyon Gold. The last two are a tribute to the C-X17 concepts unveiled in Frankfurt and at Guangzhou back in 2013.

Other bespoke features include 22” double helix 15-spoke wheels with Grey finish and contrasting inserts, adaptive dampers, LED headlights, black fender vents and a panoramic sunroof.

As for the interior, the cars will wear the same choices installed in the original C-X17 concept cars, Windsor soft-grain leather with Light Oyster stitching.

While we’re waiting for all of this goodness to hit the streets, you can watch Terry Grant break a world record. Oh, and if you're wondering about the decor chosen, you should know that the 8 and 0 numerals were chosen to celebrate 80 years since Jaguar was founded.
