Mike O'Driscoll, Managing Director of Jaguar Cars said: "We've started 2009 with the introduction of an advanced new generation engine that set new benchmarks in terms of performance, economy and efficiency. Our cars meet the challenges of the modern world and the needs of today's consumers -- and they're also true to the Jaguar philosophy of creating beautiful fast cars."
The new XFR is powered by a supercharged 510 bhp V8 unit that provides a 0 to 60 mph acceleration in just 4.7 seconds. A less powerful engine is the 5.0-liter V8 that releases only 385 bhp and comes on the XF Portfolio and Premium models of the XF lineup. Compared to the previous models, the new XFR incorporates new bumpers and lower front air intakes plus restyled grilles and four tailpipes. The interior has been customized with unique seats and 20-inch alloy wheels.
The revised XKR boasts a 5.0-liter supercharged engine that delivers no less than 510 bhp combined with a torque of 461 lb-ft. The 0 to 60 mph acceleration is done in 5.2 seconds, Jaguar said in a statement released to the press. Exterior changes include new LED rear lights, a lower rear body spoiler plus several other features that enhance the new car's sporty abilities.
“The two cars that are true to the heritage of Jaguar's legendary performance, delivering a superb balance of high performance, dynamic ability and refinement,” Jaguar concluded.
