Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Commercial: Easy on the Eyes

With their latest ad for the 40mpg highway Sonata Hybrid, Hyundai is saying that green vehicles can also be good-looking. And they don’t mean in the sort of way that a Prius has smooth lines and aero bits. No, it just looks like a regular premium sedan with big wheels, chrome trim and a nice grille.
And so the animals of the forest are right to get all goggly-eyed at the sight of of of they Korean tree-huggers. Our only niggle is that ostriches, wolves and raccoons don’t all belong in the same environment. Oh, and LMFAO’s “I’m Sexy and I Know It” would have been bette for the ad.

“A raked roofline and streamlined design help the Sonata Hybrid achieve one of the industry's lowest coefficient of drag. A unique front grille, available 17-inch alloy wheels and headlights with LED accents distinguish the Hybrid from its traditional counterpart. Front fog lights, LED tail lights and side mirror turn-signal indicators increase visibility and appeal, while the Blue Drive badge shows you're leading the way to lower emissions,” Hyundai says.
