Hyundai Motor UK announced official pricing and additional details regarding the i40 facelift, one of the most important changes being the introduction of a seven-speed DCT gearbox.
Hyundai is offering the refreshed i40 in four equipment levels: S, SE Nav, SE Nav Business and Premium.
The cheapest i40 you can buy is the saloon equipped with the entry-level S trim, for £19,600 ($29,635/€27,347 at current exchange rates). For this amount of money, customers get 16-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic headlights with dusk sensor and steering wheel audio and telephone controls.
Under the hood lies Hyundai's 1.7-liter CRDi diesel engine good for 115 PS, working together with a Blue Drive six-speed manual gearbox. In addition, the SE Nav adds DAB radio, auto-dimming rearview mirror, climate control with auto defog, heated front seats, LED front fog lights and a seven-speaker sounds system.
If that's not enough, more demanding clients can upgrade to SE Nav Business, for £23,100 ($34,942/€32,252) and Hyundai will provide keyless smart entry with start/stop button and driver’s seat memory function.
To benefit from Hyundai's top-shelf treatment, you'll want to consider the range-topping Premium models, starting at £25,600 ($38,718/€35,749).
For this kind of money, the i40 comes with 18” alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof with electric tilt and slide, luggage net, a "super vision " instrument cluster with LCD color display and lane departure warning.
