Hyundai i20: New Photos and Details

Hyundai is beginning a Europe-wide rollout of the new i20, which for 20 comes with a new interior and exterior styling elements that bring it in line with the rest of the Hyundai range. The other change is the introduction of the new 1.1-liter, three-cylinder 'U-II' diesel engine that develops 75 PS.

This will be offered alongside a 1.4-liter CRDi with sub-100 g/km emissions and 90 PS. Completing the line-up are two petrol engines: an 85 PS 1.2-liter and a 100 PS 1.4-liter.

The 2012 i20 facelift will be a available in three main trim levels beginning with Classic, moving up to Active and followed by Style. All with remote central locking, six air bags, air conditioning, ESP and, for the first time on i20, Vehicle Stability Management.

The Active package adds 15-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth with voice recognition, electric/heated door mirrors, front fog lights, leather steering wheel and gear knob and electric rear windows (five door bodystyle).

The top-of-the-range Style comes with 15-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, rain-sensing front wipers, climate control along with an automatic dimming rear view mirror with an integrated reversing camera.

Tony Whitehorn, President and CEO Hyundai Motor UK, says: "The New i20 is yet another model to join Hyundai's new-look model range and will appeal to existing customers but will also prove an attractive choice for young buyers who may not have considered Hyundai in the past.
