Toyota calls its design language "keen look", which is Japanese for V-shaped grille. For has kinetic design while Cadillac calls its vertical sharp edges "Art & Science". But perhaps one of the most famous and arguably among the most successful languages is Hyundai's Fluidic Sculpture.
It's generated some of the most successful compacts and subcompacts on the European market, thanks in part to the design leadership of ex Audi man Peter Schreyer. The Koreans are taking that to the next level, with a concept called the Intrado.
It will be the first Hyundai concept car inspired byFluidic Sculpture 2.0. It's named after the underside of an airplane's wing and will make its official debut next year at the Geneva Motor Show, three months from now.
We have no idea if it will preview any sort of production car, but it looks like an SUV, so maybe a replacement for the ix35 is what we're looking at.
Peter Schreyer, President & CDO of Hyundai Motor Group, commented: “Hyundai Intrado envisages a motoring future that encapsulates the efficiency and freedom associated with flying. I believe in the power of mobility to deliver emotional as well as physical connections and this car helps us find again the joy of discovery. Intrado shows that future cars can be relevant and exciting.”
