Huge Rollover Accident at Tal Mireb Sand Race

They Arabs have heir strange drifting while shooting a rifle to boast with, but that’s not the full extent of their motorsport quirkiness. While endlessly patrolling (trolling) the Internet, we came across this very strange form of racing that involves sand, a steep hill and a heavily modified Nissan Patrol.
It looks a bit like what they do in Iceland, but the snow has been swapped for sand. The accident took place at the Tal Mireb sand race, which takes place in the United Arab Emirates. The Nissan loses grip on the loose sands and ends up sideways. After that, it rolls over about 20 times and only comes to a stop when it gets to the bottom of the hill. The body brakes off, but the roll cage seems to have crumbled as well.

This isn’t the sort of fiery inferno we’ve come to expect from a crash, but it’s still quite the spectacle.
