Hino Trucks, a company of the Toyota Group, today announced that it will introduce a new vehicle at the 2011 Work Truck Show, an event that will be held in Indianapolis.
The company will use the Show to present the next generation of its diesel-electric hybrid system, which will be integrated in a new class 4 and 5 cab over engine (COE) truck range that has been designed to cater for the American market’s needs.
“Hino Trucks announced plans to unveil an exciting addition to its product lineup during the 2011 Work Truck Show in Indianapolis. Hino, the world leader in commercial truck hybrid technology, will introduce its next generation proprietary diesel-electric hybrid system in a newly designed class 4 and 5 cab over engine (COE) truck line-up specifically engineered to meet the unique needs of the U.S. market,” stated the press release.
“Hino Trucks' first-of-its-kind launch will be held on Tuesday, March 8th on the show floor of the Work Truck Show held at the Indiana Convention Center and will be the world debut of the first North American diesel-electric hybrid COE truck.”
The World Truck Show is scheduled to take place between March 8-10 , offering an area of 500,000 sq-ft.
