OK, we get it. If you’re the President of the United States of America, you need to make sure safety is of the utmost importance. In fact, who are we kidding here, we all know the Secret Service takes care of this sort of stuff. Either way, looking at what the newest jet the Air Force One is about to get seriously makes us reconsider politics.
We’ve just stumbled upon this short clip courtesy of Business Insider, which reminded us of what the new Boeing 747-8 Airliner is all about. We already knew it’s the longest and second largest airliner ever built, but the amount of amenities this particular one gets is quite impressive. We’re talking about 4,786 square feet of space that costs $367 million before counting the add-ons.

Features such as custom built interior cabinets and components, a massive office and a stateroom worthy of the utmost class and luxury are just a small part of the big picture. Put it this way, the President of the U. S. of A. will have no problem with staying 8,000 miles in the air since that’s the range one refuel gives you. And we all know they can always conduct one of those aerial refuelings with no problem.

Random fact: turning a regular airliner in a custom military aircraft to transport the President was an idea first discussed in 1943, when officials of the United States Army Air Forces became concerned with relying on the regular jets.
