If you want the equivalent of an S-Class in a family van shape, you’ll find the best one there is also comes from Mercedes-Benz under the V-Class name. There is no AMG version but if you really need that, this new kit from Hartmann will set you up.
Earlier this year, Hartmann treated us with a pimped out Sprinter but for the fall they came out with the more compact V-Class model here, which appears to be the Vito variant, according to the badge at the back.
You can see it means business over from quite a distance because it comes with 20-inch black alloy wheels, slightly redesigned bumpers with lime green lip spoilers running all around, as well as a sport suspension which brings everything 30 mm closer to the ground.
Open up the door and you won’t find much else to giveaway the car’s nature than some aluminum door sills, piano black cabin trim and custom floor mats. But turn the engine on, plant your foot and you’ll quickly realize this minivan could be used for something else than visiting grandma with the family.
The 119 CDi that originally offered 190 horsepower and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) now cranks a meaty 224 HP and 505 Nm (372 lb-ft) thanks to an engine remapping and a custom exhaust system. Not bad for a family hauler, innit?
