It's the beginning of a new year, and among other things that always means we are to get ready for new model launches from the world's most visible bike maker, Harley-Davidson. As usual, the American company did not disappoint, and already announced when we are to get our first look at this year's novelties. And with that came just a tiny glimpse of what to expect.
It's unclear at this point exactly what we'll be receiving, but the few bits of info made public paint a picture of glorious two-wheelers, in the usual fashion we're used to from Harley at the beginning of each year.
First up, we're promised more new Harley-Davidson motorcycle models, but it's not clear at the moment whether we're talking about brand-new two-wheelers, or about new interpretations of older ones by the fitting of new pieces of hardware onto them.
The cherry on the cake will likely be the Harley-Davidson bikes handled by the bike maker's Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) division. Like it happened so many times these past few years, CVO worked its magic on Harley machines, and will show to the world limited-production motorcycles that are bound to impress.
The presentation of the new two-wheelers will be supported by a special launch film called American Dreamin which will premiere, along with the bikes themselves, on January 24.
Until we get to that point we're left with the confirmation of the models that will carry on into the new model year on a global level, and the bottom line is the offering remains pretty much the same as it was before.
On the touring front, Harley will continue to offer its bikes in two categories, namely the Grand American Touring and Adventure Touring. The former group will comprise in 2024 the Road King Special, Road Glide, and Ultra Limited, while the latter will continue to limit itself at offering the mighty Pan America.
The Harley cruiser offering for the new year will continue to include one of the most comprehensive lineups of any bike maker playing in this segment. On the American market, the offering includes the Softail Standard, Street Bob 114, Low Rider S, Low Rider ST, Breakout 117, Fat Boy 114, and Heritage Classic 114.
The Sport lineup throws into the fight in the new year three models, namely the Nightster, Nightster Special, and Sportster S. Trike lovers will be treated with such Harley-branded machines this year as well, in the form of the Freewheeler, Road Glide 3, and Tri Glide Ultra.
Elsewhere in the world, Harley will continue to offer X 350 and X 500 (Asia), the Sport Glide (Europe, and the Fat Bob (Europe).
The bike maker made no mention of the prices for the 2024 bikes being modified in any way.
