Harley-Davidson to Build Bikes in India?

According to ZigWheels, one of the largest automotive websites in India, Harley-Davidson are prospecting the Indian market for some future interesting moves, or at least rumor has it.
Looking to boost the sales a bit in the already difficult motorcycle market, we might see Harley-Davidson building a smaller bike, for the Indian and possibly other Asian countries. In order to be available for a competitive price, these new bikes should also be manufactured in India, most likely in the future H-D plant at Bawal, in Haryana.

The new cruiser is expected to be in the 400-500cc range and offered for a price low enough to compete with the KTM 390, Kawasaki Ninja 250R, or the Hyosung GT250R. The same source mentions the 2013 Auto Expo in New Delhi show as the unveiling date of the new bike(s). Stay tuned for more.
