Harley Davidson Launches the Unrest Custom Paint Set

A constant attraction for all bike owners, customizing has always been an important part of the motorcycling business. Fully aware of this, Harley Davidson has just launched the new Color Shop Limited Series Unrest paint set through the Sheet Metal Exchange program.

Available from Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories, the paint set features Day of the Dead skull, tribal designs and helter-skelter lettering over a matte black background on the tank, fenders, fairing and saddlebags.

Unfortunately, the product is limited in quantity to 200 sets and available only for one year, priced between $2,199.95 and $5,199.95. The new Unrest paint set is hand-numbered for the ultimate in exclusivity on motorcycles.

This set is available on factory-fresh sheet metal, or through the Sheet Metal Exchange Program. This program allows Harley-Davidson owners to install factory-quality, custom-painted sheet metal to older-model motorcycles.

Under the program, an authorized dealer removes the undamaged sheet metal from owners' motorcycles and ships it to the H-D Color Shop for application of original-equipment quality paint in cutting-edge designs by air-brush artists and pin-stripers. According to the manufacturer, the turn-around time is about 90 days, and the cost is $200 to $600 less than buying the same paint set applied to new sheet metal.

“There's no rest for the wicked. An unwavering matte black finish provides a menacing backdrop for the Day of the Dead skull and tribal designs that rule over the tank and fenders. The helter-skelter Harley lettering only adds to the kinetic feel. You'll sleep when you're dead,”
the company says.
