Happy Birthday to Mark Webber and Gerhard Berger

Today Mark Webber and former Formula 1 driver Gerhard Berger are celebrating their birthdays, giving us a chance to take a look back on Formula 1's past and present moments regarding the two protagonists.

Australian Mark Webber had a fascinating season in Formula One this year, registering his first career win at Nurburgring. Mark will turn 33 this Thursday, in a time when he deservingly ocuppies 3rd place in the championship.

After many seasons spent in Formula One, the talented driver finally has a competitive car this year abord the Renault powered Red Bull Racing challenger.

"At the moment it looks like Jenson (Button) is in the right position ... I'm a bit closer, Sebastian (Vettel) a little bit further away, but it's still a long, long way to go", said Webber to the Australian AAP news agency. This comment shows the Australian is still fighting for the title, but keeps the objective tone typical for a driver of his age.

On the other hand, Austrian Gerhard Berger competed in Formula One for 14 seasons and achieved ten Grand Prix wins. Although the 50-year-old Austrian sold his 50 percent stake in the Scuderia Toro Rosso F1 team to energy drink tycoon Dietrich Mateschitz, he didn't rule out a possible comeback in the sport.

"I am a private citizen, unlike Didi who has a company in the background. If the right task comes along, I would participate again", he said to Germany's Auto Motor und Sport.

While Webber is looking for a great performance at Spa and Berger for an opportunity to get involved again with the sport he loves, we wish them both a happy birthday and celebration to remember.
