GT 5 Concept and PSP Version New Videos

Two new trailers for the PlayStation 3 and PSP (PlayStation Portable) exclusive software, Gran Turismo 5, were released at the E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) held in Los Angeles, California, on June 2.

The GT 5 concept movie clip is the proof that deformable models are to be featured, as well as NASCAR and WRC competitions.

The much anticipated Gran Turismo for PSP features over 800 cars (with over 4,500 color variations), 35 courses with more than 60 layouts planned. In addition, the game offers a various functionality features, such as Ad hoc multiplayer races and trading or sharing cars, enabling players to explore a new range of communication methods.

A variety of game modes will also be available. In the Single Player mode, the drill is pretty much the same as in the previous games. The player selects his/hers favorite car and the course and begins racing against AI cars. Moreover, time trials and drift trials can be challenged.

In the Mission mode, the player will be able to challenge over 100 missions and experience cornering, braking, and all types of techniques required for sports driving. The Dealer mode finally allows the player to do something with the credits acquired from the Arcade and Missions. Credits can be used to purchase cars, but the car lineup depends on the playtime.

The fourth game mode is the most interactive. The Ad hoc multiplayer mode allows the player to compete against 3 other players (4 total). Trading and sharing the cars are enabled, for the completion of the over 800 cars collection. Some of the cars can only be gained by trading.

The Grand Turismo Mobile (destined for PSP users) is expected to be available for purchase in the retail stores later this year, on October 1 in North America and Europe and from October 8 in Japan. Prices have not been announced yet, but you should already start saving.
