GoPet Electric Scooter Now Available

American electric scooter manufacturer MyGoPet has announced that its GoPet Personal Electric Transportation scooter is now available, offering an environmental friendly alternative to common ways of transportation.

According to the company, the new easy-to-ride three-wheeled electric vehicle is destined to be used in industrial areas, college campuses or by the law enforcement with a wide range of patrol. Well, wouldn’t you be scared seeing a police officer on one of these?

"While some two-wheel electric vehicles carry a high-tech image, GoPet is faster, goes further on a charge and is much easier to ride compared to the most popular two-wheel personal mobility device," said to Tom Murphy, GoPet General Manager, in a statement for the press. "And GoPet retails at about one-fifth the cost of a comparable Segway scooter," he added.

The GoPet is powered by a 48 volt, 350 watt front hub direct drive motor system, which allows it to speed up to 16 mph (26 km/h) and go on for about 25 miles (40 km) on a single charge. By the way, one charge takes about 4-6 hours and it will only cost you some 10 cents worth of electricity.

The electric scooter features front and rear pneumatic tires, but according to MyGoPet, it is also available with non-marking tires for inside applications. The GoPet also has adjustable handlebars, thick rubber pads and, of course, a hand braking system.

Each GoPet scooter includes assembly tools, headlight, taillight, horn and basket. Options include a seat, folding handlebar and trailer. GoPet carries a 90 day warranty covering the battery, motor, controller, frame and charger. The company, however, hasn't yet provided any pricing information, but we will keep you posted.
