GM Offers 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

American manufacturer GM announced today the launch of a new 60-day Satisfaction Guarantee program for customers who buy their vehicles. The program allows unsatisfied customers to return the car between 31 and 60 days of purchase and get their money back.

The aim of the program is, of course, to boost customer confidence in GM's cars and is part of the manufacturer's "May the Best Car Win" marketing campaign.

"We know that we'll need to work very hard to get people's attention and encourage them to give Chevy, Buick, Cadillac and GMC a try. We think the 'May the Best Car Win' campaign and the Satisfaction Guarantee offer should help re-instill confidence in the excellence of our products," Bob Lutz, the man behind GM's new marketing ideas said in a release.

"We're putting our money down that if people buy one of our vehicles and don't absolutely love it, we'll take it back. We will stand behind them both in the short-term and over the long haul."

So, if you find yourself in the position to have bought a GM vehicle and then find out you got scr**d over, you can go and give it back - provided you did not buy a medium duty truck, which are not eligible.

You can only give the car back if you will take delivery by November 30, and only if you pay up-front for it, as leased vehicles are not included. You cannot return more than one car/household and they will only give you your money back for the vehicle purchase price and sales tax, not for accessories, negative equity on a trade-in or other fees.
