A couple of days ago, we learned that General Motors has a 164 day supply of the new Chevy Malibu and is idling the Fairfax plant in Kansas to get rid of some o this excess. Now, the same can be said about the Chevy Sonic an Buick Verano.
As of last week, the General has idled Lake Orion assembly in Michigan in order to adjust inventories of these sedans. The 1,800 or so workers will not be working until January 2nd as a result of this.

General Motors is sitting on a substantial pile of unsold cars – 788,000 of them, the largest amount since April 2009. GM North America President Mark Reuss said sales were strong in the first half of this month, so inventories are quickly depleting. Both the Sonic and the Verano have been doing quite well this year, and there’s no reason to believe Lake Orion jobs are at stake.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
