Even though Steve Dinan isn’t calling the shots at Dinan Cars anymore, the company is still probably one of the best for tuning Bimmers in the US. Their research and development budget is big enough to create the perfect plug and play parts that will enhance you driving sessions.
The guys just launched a new set of parts for the 2015 BMW M3 and M4, and they include coil overs and an exhaust. Depending on your needs, you might also want to look at some older offerings from them.

The coil overs are adjustable and offer substantial reduction in body roll according to Dinan. However, from our experience we found that to be a non-problem on the M4. Even so, there will always be people out there that want to invest in their cars, in the believe that they will perform better.

The best bit about this new kit is that the factory Electronic Damper Control shocks will work with it flawlessly, and that’s why people turn to Dinan. Therefore, the car’s ride height will be lowered, and the dampening changed just by using the EDC controls next to the gearshift lever.

Springs are combined with progressive bump stops that allow you to get up to 1 inch closer to the ground up front and 1 and a half inches in the back. The rates themselves are increased by 50 percent in the front and 10 percent in the rear.

As far as the exhaust goes, it is a bolt-on solution made out of 16 gauge 304 stainless steel. It will fit like the original and was created to deliver a better sound under acceleration. Of course, a little more power is also provided but don’t expect huge increases.

According to Dinan, using their system you’ll get around 5 HP extra and a weight reduction of three pounds, not great numbers, especially when compared against the likes of Akrapovic, for example.

Then again, the price tags are rather different as well. The exhaust from Dinan will set you back $2,500 no matter if you go for the polished tips or the black ones. The coil overs have a price tag of $1,600 and will also work if you don’t have EDC.
