Unfortunately, we have no idea if the $170k luxury CUV is going to be sold outside its home market of Japan. The 2023 Century sedan is certainly not expanding beyond its traditional scope.
But the Century SUV has the allure to fight the Bentley Bentayga, Ferrari Purosangue, and Rolls-Royce Cullinan from the position of an 'affordable' flagship killer. If you ask anyone and their mother – that is simply because it looks stately, it feels utterly classic in design, and should come with absolute Japanese craftsmanship. Plus, the good news is that Toyota is already mulling additional variants of the Century SUV – a ritzy Convertible and a sporty GRMN.
Unfortunately, the only way people outside Japan will most likely get their chauffeur's hands on the Century SUV is through gray exports. Indeed, there is going to be a market for that, as it will ensure a lot of exclusivity for anyone who dares to take such a giant leap of faith. However, once you have done that, there is always a chance that others will follow your example – so perhaps it's best to have the Century SUV customized, just to be sure.
