Taking a page out of Ford or GM's "Truck Design with Attitude" manual, Volkswagen dropped the Amarok pickup in Frankfurt this year with some serious-looking upgrades.
The Amarok Dark Label is a special edition of the vehicle they put together based on the basic Trendline trim level. To make their only pickup look rugged, the folks at Vdub have fitted it with 18-inch Duban ally wheels finished in black, installed window tint, covered the B-pillars with piano black trim like on a regular car and smoked the taillights.
Black door mirrors, handles, rear bumper and sidesteps complete the darkening process.
Inside, this Amarok Dark Label has Alcantara seats, plush floor mats and the RCD 310 system as standard. For extra comfort, Volkswagen also fitted heated mirrors, button on the steering wheel and heated seats.
You can only have it as double cab, but all engine and drivetrain options are still available. Prices have been set at €36,271 in Germany with deliveries in early 2014.
