Former NBA Player Arrested Following DUI Incident

If there's a thing celebs just seem not to understand at all is that breaking the law is not one of the privileges of their assumed stardom.

So, here we are, speaking about another star charged with drunken driving. Myy God, these cases are so often that they should do something about it!

This time, it's about a sportsman, the former NBA star Antoine Walker, more exactly. The basketball player was arrested and charged with suspicion of drunken driving in Miami Beach on Monday morning, TMZ reported.

It seems that walker was driving a black Mercedes without the lights on when he was pulled over at about 5:39 a.m. The police report says officers smelled “a strong odor of alcohol” and had a “sleepy look on his face”. He refused to take  a breathalyzer test. Following his deed, he got $1,000 ticket but so far, jail officers don't know if he has a lawyer or not.

The 32-year-old Chicago native was a three-time all star who played for the Celtics and helped the Miami Heat win their 2006 NBA title. He was a starting forward on Kentucky’s 1996 national title team as well.

Walker was chosen sixth overall in the 1996 NBA draft by the Celtics, earning All-Star honors in 1998, 2002 and 2003. He is situated on 10th place in league history for 3-point field goals made (1,386) and second (sixth all-time) in 3-point field goal attempts (4,264).

Walker played in 46 games with the Minnesota Timberwolves last season. His contract was bought out by the Memphis Grizzlies in December, making him a free agent.

However, this unfortunate incident might jeopardize his chances of playing again this season.
