FleetBoard Drivers' League Truckermania Is On

German carmaker Daimler announced today it is taking registrations for the 2010 edition of the FleetBoard Drivers' League, a competition for truckers which will be held between June 1 and June 30 under the Truckermania motto.

This is the eight time Daimler is organizing this event, with drivers from Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania and South Africa being accepted into the competition.

"Every year the FleetBoard Drivers' League provides excitement for thousands of truck drivers and their companies with the unique TRUCKERMANIA atmosphere, which combines economical driving skills and sportsmanship," Markus Lipinsky, Managing Director of Daimler FleetBoard said in a statement.

Sponsored by Michelin, the competition offers the winner a one week trip to Madrid for 2, including flights and hotel accommodation as well as an entry to the finals of the European championship Truck Race on October 3rd, 2010. In addition, the winner will receive 3 months free driving on an Actros articulated truck.

The runner-up will receive DTM VIP tickets for the final race at Hockenheimring including overnight stay for 2 people, while the third best driver will receive a gift set from the Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmbH Trucker Selection.

Michelin will offer all three winners a set of tires (6 tires) with the tread patterns MICHELIN X ENERGY SAVERGREEN XF and XD.

The registration deadline is May 28. Drivers who register at the following link must be drivers of Mercedes-Benz truck with the Telligent braking system and who have at least the FleetBoard Performance Analysis service activated.
