First Motocross Team by Ohlins Launched for 2011

The North American division of suspension systems manufacturer Ohlins recently announced the launch of its first racing team, set to campaign the 2011 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship series. The main goal of Team Ohlins USA is to showcase the company’s advanced suspension technology in motocross racing in North America.

The team will make its debut on June 11 at High Point Raceway in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania, with Michael Clarke and Garret Toth riding the latest version of the Yamaha YZ450F.

However, the team is still willing to give a third rider a chance to join Clarke and Toth in the line-up, with enthusiasts invited to send a biography and race history to Stacey Berger: [email protected], or by mail to 703-C South Grove Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792.

“Stepping up to having our own racing team is a huge challenge that we’re really looking forward to. We’ll be at the track to support every rider using our products, but regularly working closely with our three dedicated riders sharing our mission will allow us to meet our goals quickly, benefitting every Ohlins racer. We’ve got high expectations and we’re looking at the season with great anticipation. We’ve worked with Garret and Michael in the past and believe in their developing abilities. It will be great to see who else we’re able to add to the team,” Stacey Berger, Ohlins USA’s Off Road Manager, said in a statement for the press.

Team Ohlins USA sponsors include Yamaha, GYTR, Triangle Cycles of Danville, Virginia, MX1 West, Acerbis, Ariete, Yoshimura, Kenda Tire, No Toil, Shoei Helmets, Langston Racing Academy, and HIT Center (High Intensity Training) of Jacksonville.
