Probably the most significant new Fiat launched since the 500, the new small five-door compact crossover / MPV will reportedly be codenamed the Ellezero and should officially bow at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. According to Inside Line, the vehicle is based on the CUSW (compact U.S. wide) platform and will have a US version as well.
Previous reports suggest that it will be built in Serbia starting May or June of this year. The vehicle is likely to be based on a platform shared by the 500 and Panda and could become a successor for the Fiat Idea and Lancia Musa models.

A North American variant will likely arrive at dealerships in 2013, borrowing styling cues from the cute Fiat 500. "In a later stage it may also be offered in the United States, but primarily Europe," says Antonio Cesare Ferrara, head of Fiat Automobili Srbija, Fiat's joint venture with the Serbian government.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
