The car is available with three engine choices that both comply with new Euro5 environmental standards. Petrol engines come in the form of a 1.2 liter 8v that produces 69 hp or a 1.4 liter 8v that provides 77 hp. A turbocharged diesel engine can also be fitted, a tiny 1.3 MultiJet 16v developing 75 hp. There are also two special version of the 1.4 liter, called the “Natural Power” and “EasyPower”, that can also run on methane or LPG, respectively.
Standard equipment on the Fiat Punto MyLife includes 2 front airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP with Hill Holder system, plus the infotainment system with CD-MP3 radio and the popular TomTom navigation.
Styling changes have been made by means of Piano Black inserts on the front bumper, door handles and side mirrors. The MyLife also comes with darker headlights and tail lights. The interior has received some attention as well: it now has soft touch black perforated material covering the dash board. The seats have also received new black upholstery, done in typical Italian style. The carmaker has gone for a more high-end approach, in contrast with the futuristic design many of its competitors embody.
The Fiat Punto MyLife has just been launched in Italy but it will soon be available on the European market. Prices for the model star at EUR9,900($13,979) for a 3-door car with the 1.2 liter Euro5 engine, while the 5-door starts at about EUR10,700($15,109).
