All seemed well with the US market launch of the 500, but Fiat has put a lot of money and effort, while the results are slow to follow. A recent Automotive News post talks about the very ambitions sales target 50,000 units sales target and the disparity with the actual market figures.
Since sales began in March this year, almost 16,000 have been delivered through October, well short of the original target. The amazingly bad news is that last month 29 of the 130 dealers didn’t shift a single 500.

Automotive News says that it has internal documents that show the company has a half-year supply of 500, which is 13,730 units or about as many as they’ve sold.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
