Fiat 500 Blackjack Revealed

Fiat likes to keep the 500 model under the spotlights, constantly coming with new additions for the 500 range.

The latest incarnation of the modern 500 is the the Blackjack, a special edition that comes to offer a “mean” look to the vehicle (would this make a proper base for a city car destined for Darth Vader? - follow this link and you’ll see why he needs one).

The car is now dressed in a unique black color that features an opaque finish. The Italian automotive producer has matched the special matte paint with a set of 16 inch alloy rims finished in the same color. The wheels also come with a red frame in the center. Many of the car’s exterior elements (doors handles, mirror housings and door plate) use a polished finish.

The sombre theme is continued in the vehicle’s interior, which also comes with a full black treatment. However, Fiat has decided to offer a few contrasting interior elements, such as the silver seams used for the steering wheel and gear lever. The seats also follow the black theme, using a combination of fabric and leather. The car’s optional extras list includes a red finish for the seats, should you consider the cabin as being too... dark.

The Fiat 500 Blackjack can be ordered with all the petrol and diesel engines of the vehicle's range, including the new TwinAir 0.9 liter turbocharged two-cylinder unit.

The new special edition will enter the market in September and has a starting price of EUR13,850 ($17,800).
