Earlier today, we gave gamers and automotive enthusiasts a new reason to make budget notes, presenting the Thrustmaster Ferrari F1 replica steering wheel, but now we have something that seems to be even better.
Fanatec has introduced the BMW M3 GT2 steering wheel, which, just like the aforementioned Thrustmaster wheel, will be sold separately, being compatible with both PC and PS3.
Fanatec used the 25th anniversary of the BMW factory to put the wheel in the hands of touring car champion Dork Adorf. Maybe because it wanted to compensate for the lower tier of the series from which the wheel is inspired, Fanatec’s 350mm steering wheel can also be used on a real race car, just like Adorf demonstrates in the adjacent video, where the wheel is taken straight out of a BMW 320si WTCC race car that had just done a lap and used on a Clubsport base.
The Fanatec M3 GT2 Clubsport steering wheel is set to enter the market in December, but the pricing hasn’t been announced yet.
Our say: this is Christmas present material.
