F1 Teams Show Kubica Support at Jerez Through Polish Message

All the Formula 1 teams present at Jerez this week have shown their support for Robert Kubica through a short message posted on their 2011-spec single-seaters. Starting with Lotus Renault's R31 racer, all challengers will lap the Spanish circuit these days with the words “Szybkiego powrotu do zdrowia Robert” on them.

As far as Lotus Renault goes, the message – which translates into “Get well soon Robert” – is posted on the R31's gearbox, at the rear side of the car. In Ferrari's case, the sticker is placed on the front wing of the F150, with all the other teams placing it on certain other portions of their cars.

The proof of support from the entire F1 field comes only hours after it was announced that Kubica's situation is getting better by the day. Following another positive night in intensive care, the Pole has today left the unit, being moved to a normal ward in the Santa Corona hospital.

This can only mean that his medical situation has improved, which is good to know ahead of his second operation, on his right humerus and foot, scheduled to take place first thing tomorrow morning. The medical intervention is believed to last 4 hours, as will the last surgery he'll have on Monday, on his elbow.

In the meantime, the rest of the F1 field has already started their running on the Jerez circuit on Thursday. The first visible change in terms of liveries has been provided by Ferrari, whose F150 has been added the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi logo for the first time. The logo can be seen on both sides of the nose and aims at publicizing the theme park dedicated to the marque.
