Ever wondered how much fuel you will burn on a trip? Well, if you have a normal gasoline-powered vehicle that’s pretty easy, as you’ll only have to do some basic math involving the distance you have to travel and your average fuel consumption. But what do you do if you have a plug-in hybrid like the Prius?
Of course, there are ways of calculating how much gasoline you’ll use on a trip for such cases, but for means of accessibility, Toyota came up with this neat web browser application which will do it for you.
All you need is to enter the starting and and the end location after which the app will automatically calculate how much you will be able to go only on electric power after which the Prius Plug-In will switch to hybrid mode.
The app will also show you a street view virtual travel based on Google Maps and at the end it will also show you the average fuel consumption.
So click here and test the app yourself. Note that it will only work on Google Chrome. If you don’t want to install that, you can watch this video bellow to see how the app works.
