Ecclestone: I Won't Divorce Slavica

Despite several reports in the British media that F1 supreme Bernie Ecclestone is close to becoming single again, the 78-year old Englishman dismissed all rumors concerning a future divorce between him and wife Slavica. Earlier today, Bernie made it very clear that he 'is not going to get divorced' and argued that Slavica left their home in Kensington because 'she couldn't stand the noise from the building work next door.”

The information appeared in the British newspaper Daily Telegraph earlier today, together with Bernie's comments on the matter. The Englishman didn't deny his marital problems with Slavica but insisted that, as soon as his wife will get back home, they'll sort out the situation throroughly.

“Slavica's traveling in India with friends at the moment, but, when she gets back, we're going to talk things through,” Ecclestone was quoted as saying to the British newspaper.

Slavica Ecclestone, formerly known as the 24th richest women in England, confirmed her decision to divorce Bernie as early as last month. Her decision was publicly announced by Simon Bethel, a family law specialist hired by the former Croatian model to take care of all legal actions concerning the divorce.

“It is formally announced that Mrs Slavica Ecclestone has filed for divorce. Her legal representative is Liz Vernon at Clintons. Mrs Ecclestone has asked that her privacy and that of her children should be respected,” read the official statement released by Slavica through PR agency Borkowski.

In case you're wondering why Bernie insists on remaining married to his 50-year old wife – who's 28 years younger the him – it might have something to do with the alledged rumor that most of Ecclestone's incredible wealth is currently in Slavica Ecclestone's name due to tax reasons (as the wife is non-domiciled, therefore tax-free).
