Ducati Motor Holding has revealed the sales figures for 2013 and it looks like business is following a growth trend at Borgo Panigale. Ducati reports that 2013 has ended with record sales, which is a truly heartening piece of news for the Audi-owned manufacturer.
Even though the sales increase is far from being a whopping one, we are glad to see that things are at least moving up. Ducati pushed 44,287 bikes in 2013, a slight increase over the 44,102 the Italian manufacturer sold in 2012.

The company has a network comprising 817 dealers in 88 countries, with the largest national market being once more, the US, accounting for around 24% of the total sales. The US was followed by Italy and Germany for the top three worldwide markets, with 11.3% and 10.7%, respectively. The biggest sales increase have been reported in Asia, where Ducati sold 5,200 bikes, a solid 26 percent increase over the 2012 figures.

700 motorcycles were sold in Brazil, which is one of the most recent markets for Ducati, with activities starting in the second half of 2013. This makes the Brazilian market one of the most promising places for expansion, especially as 2014 will see the new models reaching the dealerships around the world.

In 2013 Ducati launched the Hypermotard, Monster 1200 and the 899 Panigale, as well as the 1199 Superleggera, whose 500-unit limited run is said to be 90% already-sold out ahead of the official presentation at the 2014 EICMA in Milan, next November. Europe remains the strongest place for selling Ducati machinery, making up for around 51% of the total bikes sold through 2013.

We remind you that the new, liquid-cooled 2014 Ducati Monster 1200 will reach dealerships this month, most likely already present in some areas.
