Ducati 1199 Panigale Smoked by Porsche 911 GT2 RS

So here's another big battle between two beasts, with 4, and 2 wheels, respectively: the fearsome Porsche 911 GT2 RS and the acclaimed Ducati 1199 Panigale.
The 1199 Panigale humiliated the Porsche in an earlier drag strip race, and proved that even brutal sports cars are no match for the insane acceleration the Ducati can offer to the skilled rider.

Since it was high time for a re-match, the two met up on a WWII airstrip and raced once more... to pretty much the same extent: the Ducati 1199 Panigale quickly disappeared from sight, occasionally rolling like a boss on the rear wheel. From a standing start the Porsche was still no match.

Until... a more fair (at least for the car) rolling start and longer running distance were agreed upon. Even in these conditions, the Ducati went on lightning-fast, but this time it was Porsche's turn to shine.

As the 911 increased speed and got closer to what the full extent of its powerful engine really could do when letting all the horses run free, the gap started to close faster and faster, and the car not only caught up with the bike, but also passed it around the 200+ mph line (320 km/h).

So, a well-earned revenge for the 911 GT2 RS, proving that despite the almost 200 HP Ducati can bring to the game, a long chase still favors the Porsche.
