Donna Inch Appointed Chairman and CEO of Ford Land

Ford has just announced that Donna Inch was appointed chairman and CEO of Ford Land, "the real estate and wholly owned subsidiary of Ford," as the company said in a release. She will thus take the place of Phil Horlock, who announced his decision to retire in December last year.

Serving as chairman as CEO of Ford Land will bring Inch several responsibilities, as she'll be in charge of real estate, construction and facility services for Ford Motor Company, which includes manufacturing, research and development, distribution and office properties. She will report to Bob Shanks, Ford’s vice president and controller.

Previously, Donna Inch worked as finance director, Ford Customer Service Division, and was in charge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, long-range business planning and internal control for Ford Customer Service Division.

“Donna brings a wealth of experience to Ford Land from key positions she has held in a number of critical operations at Ford Motor Company,” Shanks said. “Donna’s management style, business acumen, and active involvement in developing our people have made her a respected leader within the company. The Ford Land team is fortunate to have her at the helm.”

If Ford Land doesn't ring any bell to you, then you should know that this is a full-service real estate entity that plans, builds, manages and redevelops properties at a global level. According to official data provided by Ford, the subsidiary owns and leases more than 5 million square feet of commercial office and research space in Fairlane, its master planned community in Dearborn and Allen Park, Mich.
