The good folks over at the CSL AutoTime channel on YouTube have an unusual drag racing setup between a Bavarian limo with a V12 under the hood and a volcanic Italian motorcycle with a V2 tucked under the (fearless) rider.
In this day and age, it's pretty hard to stand out in a crowd, right? No worries, everyone keeps finding new and meaningful ways to do that – which adds to the fun of living a modern life. As far as the imaginative automotive industry is concerned, everyone loves America's way of doing straight-line races, of course.

As such, it is no wonder that the quarter-mile format has numerous adepts around the world – even as far as Thailand. For example, Tang, along with the good folks over at the CSL AutoTime channel on YouTube, love to pit various models against each other on their non-prep track, which is actually the strip of a local airfield.

Usually, though, they bring out 'normal' vehicles to enjoy the fun quarter-mile shenanigans, like Teslas, Civics, WRXs, or the family crossover. No worries. From time to time, there are also exotics like BMW's M fighters, the Mercedes-AMG G 63, the R35 Nissan GT-R, the C8 Chevy Corvette, and the Ferrari 488 GTB. On this occasion, though, they are going to get out of their comfort zone.

So, to the left of the runway a Ducati Streetfighter V4 S is packing 208 horsepower and just 123 Nm, according to the description. However, thanks to its weight of just 199 kg, it's also pretty darn fast, with an announced zero to 100 kph (62 mph) time of just 3.2 seconds for the RWD machine. It's not extremely expensive, either, if you compare it to a car at least.

Speaking of cars, the other lane is occupied by a G11 sixth-generation BMW 7 Series! It's not just any other 7, though, as we are talking about the flagship M760Li with a long wheelbase and BMW's N74B66 V12 twin-turbo 6.6-liter under the hood. It's got xDrive to distribute no less than 610 horsepower to the wheels along with 800 Nm of twist, which is enough to hit 100 kph in 3.7 seconds.

Naturally, it's a lot heavier (and comfier) than the motorbike at 2,250 kg, but it's also umpteen times more expensive, as well. Judging by the specifications, you would think the 'supernaked' motorcycle – aka a muscle bike – would have no problem winning. However, the host Tang doesn't forget to mention their track is covered in dust and gravel, which theoretically gives an advantage to an AWD-equipped machine.

Indeed, during the three rounds they perform back-to-back, the behemoth limousine puts its massive torque, and xDrive all-wheel drive to good work by consistently starting out the race first. However, once the rider managed to find traction for his mechanical steed, the Ducati also gave the BMW rival nothing but dust and regrets for not winning any of the three races. Of course, the occupants of the car were full of smiles and cheers because of the sensations they experienced inside the comfy cockpit while the motorcycle rider was fighting to control the Italian thoroughbred.

Last but not least, both the host and the rider – who was allegedly performing his first-ever quarter-mile races on a non-public stretch of tarmac – stressed that all and any racing should always be done in the safety of a confined racetrack. That's good advice – especially since the rider wasn't even clad in the protective equipment we see professional races wearing during competition.
