Dainese shows Manis, their new high-tech back protector for racing purpose and why not, for less perilous types of riding, as well.
If you come off the bike, wearing protection might be a life saver and it sometimes can make the difference between waking a way from the crash site or rolling away in a wheel chair for the rest of your life.
The Dainese Manis now offers 3 more degrees of freedom, being more able to replicate the shapes of the human body in various racing positions. The special design allows the back protector to bend on two axis, so it will copy the body by bending, twisting and retracting accordingly, following even the lateral bending moves.
The layered construction comprises 6 polypropylene plates backed by the proprietary Crash Absorb material. Large openings and a breathable comfort liner ensure the precise contact with the back of the rider for great thermal comfort, too.
Lightweight and offering ECE Level 2 protection, the Dainese Manis back protector retails for $219.95 (€169).
