Every now and then we get hit by a restoration or modification project that basically leaves us speechless. So it happens that the latest such vehicle to catch our attention is both. Specifically, the 1958 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster was restored AND upgraded with a new-generation Corvette LT1 powerplant and suspension on a custom frame.

The end result, which you can see in the adjacent images, is now offered for sale at $119,900 at RK Motors. Taking into account the fact that its estimated cost is of over $200,000, we could consider it a bargain.

The company spent three years to turn this vehicle into the resto-modded street machine you see here. The process saw the car unbolted from its frame and treated to boast a better than factory appearance.

Finished in a custom Spectrum turquoise body color, it has traditional traditional white door coves. A custom color matched turquoise vinyl top with a glass window flows into a trunk that features 1958 specific chrome spears.

Inside, the original design is enhanced with some modern upgrades, while the interior is soaked in leather. Even the trunk carries tri tone appearance of the interior and matching new carpet, white leather and turquoise paint.

Mechanical mods include a custom fabricated, gloss black SR3 Motorsports frame, while under the hood we find a modern Corvette LT1 Generation II 350 engine developing 420 horsepower and mated to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. The car sits on custom 18-inch Intro wheels wrapped in Dunlop tires.
