It's very nice to see young riders showing some top-class motorcycle stunts, but at the same time we're also a bit sad seeing these guys wearing absolutely no protective gear whatsoever.
We've seen a lot of truly breathtaking stunts from countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia or Pakistan, and they have in common two things: the spectacular display of riding skills and the absence of protective gear.
One of these guys is even barefoot, not that his team mate, who's wearing flip-flops is better shielded in case of a spill. They're wearing shorts and t-shirts, and we could live with that, since most of us riding in the city are dressed just the same in the hot summer days.
None of them is wearing a helmet and we can only wish they come to their senses and get some before they crash. Stunt riding is dangerous business, regardless of how good, experience or famous a rider may be, and when luck runs out it's only the protection between flesh and bone on one side, and the hard asphalt on the other.
