Here’s why driving in winter without knowing what you’re doing can end up pretty nasty. Like this couple from New York City jumping with their car off an overpass because the driver jerked the car on ice.
Carlos and Raquel Broadbelt were traveling on the Cross Bronx Expressway overpass in their Toyota Matrix, when at some point a wild pothole appeared ahead.
The driver then tried to dodge the hole but steered onto a patch of ice and couldn’t control the vehicle. As a result, the poor Matrix slammed into the side guardrail, broke it and plummeted about 50 feet falling on the road below.
The vehicle took a lot of damage, but the couple walked away only with minor injuries. Check the full story at CBS New York for details.
