Citroen Registers Auction Sale Succes in the UK

Citroen’s UK arm has registered a record result in a special Live Online Closed Sale at British Car Auctions (BCA) Measham held earlier this month.

The event was the biggest sale ever co-organized by Citroen and BCA and saw the carmaker offer and sell 409 vehicles (a 100% sale out success). The car and commercial vehicles sale generated a turnover of 3.26 million pounds, a figure that can be translated into a 102.3 percent of CAP Clean across the board.

The event was one of BCA’s largest closed sales, involving 41 Citroen Approved dealers, which completed in the auction hall and using a Live Online portal. The website sales accounted for 13 percent of the total volume, with 54 vehicles.

The Citroen C1 registered a high demand, with 64 models sold for an average of 102 percent of CAP Clean, while the C3 averaged 104 percent of CAP and the C4 averaged 104 percent of CAP Clean. Fifteen units of the C-Crossover were sold for an average of over 106 percent CAP.

This was the biggest single sale volume ever achieved by Citroen and BCA. The strong attendance and the confident bidding throughout the sale underlines the desirability of the Citroen range and demonstrates the commitment of our dealer network towards used cars.  To sell over 400 vehicles in one sale on one day is exceptional, particularly during a week when demand seemed a little softer,” said Michael Brown Head of Remarketing for Citroen UK.

"This high profile event was one of the largest closed sales ever staged by BCA.  The 100% conversion underlines that Citroen is sending the right messages to the marketplace about desirability, versatility and quality of the product range,” added BCA National Account Manager, Paul Dunn.
