Things are getting crazier and crazier in the auto industry these days. After posting incredible results at the Euro NCAP tests with their 3 Sedan model that achieved the best results for 2013, the guys from Qoros claim that they will be designing and launching a 5 Series rival.
The company, that was founded in 2007 and just started manufacturing cars, seems to be very ambitious, at least for the moment. Going after a giant like BMW and its long-lasting king, the 5 Series is not an easy thing to do. Ask Lexus.
However, we do appreciate the fact that the 5 Series is still being used as the benchmark but for a company that has only 6 years of experience behind it, it will be quite hard to make up the prestige the 5er has with nothing more than low prices.
According to further statements made by Chinese officials from the ambitious company we're talking about here, a hatchback-like crossover will soon follow alongside several other new models.
We can't say we're worried about Qoros at the moment but the more competitors are out there, the better for us, the consumers. We're actually curious what they will bring to the market and at what price, of course.
