The ZL1 is the Chevrolet Camaro’s way of saying that muscle cars aren’t just what they used to be, they’re more. Yes, this puts 550 horses on those fat rear wheels, but the Camaro ZL1 wants to prove that its skills also include other thrill-giving abilities.
Chevrolet has recently released a video that gives us an example of that, showcasing the Camaro ZL1’s adaptive suspension. Dubbed Magnetic Ride Control, this uses magnetorheological dampers which react far quicker than standard, hydraulic-only adaptive units. The suspension also allows the driver to select between two modes: Tour and Sport.

In addition to the aforementioned dampers, the Camaro ZL1 also come with drop links that sit outside the control arms, allowing it to react quicker to the driver’s maneuvers.
