After taking the sales title ahead of Ford's Mustang last month, the Chevrolet Camaro came on top in February as well, being America's best selling musclecar.
According to the latest General Motors report, Chevrolet sold 6,171 units of the Camaro in February 2013, beating its long time rival, the Ford Mustang, who delivered 6,024 examples of their browny musclecars. However, despite selling more vehicles than last month, both companies recorded a decline in sales, compared to the same month last year, of 10.9 and 18.1 percent respectively.

Not the same can be said about the Dodge Challenger, the third contender in the musclecar sector, who reported the best month yet with 4,911 units sold in February 2013. This means the Challenger can celebrate a year growth rate of 34 percent and maybe the guys over at Mopar can start making plans for a Camaro and Mustang take over. They're still a long way off, but it's no mystery that January and February have always been the slower sales months for the Challenger.

However, sales are expected to increase for all the automakers involved, as winter is packing things up in the northern states. We'll have to keep an eye on this fierce muscle car battle and maybe catch a great 2013 year for the Challenger... for a change.
